  • For Section D (Grammar Cloze), the word bank has constraints that make Q27 and Q28 problematic. Award marks for Q21-26 (6 marks) and use discretion for Q27-28, or award full 8 marks if student selects the only remaining options (E, H) recognising the constraint.
  • For Section G (Comprehension Cloze), accept any grammatically and contextually appropriate word.
  • For Section H, accept answers that demonstrate understanding, even if phrasing differs.
  • Spelling must be correct in all fill-in-the-blank sections unless testing grammar form only.
